There have been a lot of players who been really good at shooting the basketball. Steph Curry is one of them. In this video, I make the case that he's the greatest shooter of all time... (among other things).

Fun drinking game - take a shot every time I emphasize the word "the". Sorry in advance for your hospital bills
Salty but satisfying u have me watch till the end as a Michael Jordan fans across 2000 plus miles in the east isles now being in the home of the warriors you're influential storytelling I said case is closed too and with a thumbs up thank you....
Vvv q 1
It's true ,we love Stephen curry.
@swageyama tobiyolo Well once Steph hit the seen they did lol. On 3pt shooting Steph is the best just based on his volume and efficiency. He also is the most versatile because he can shoot off the dribble, catch and shoot, deep range, quick trigger, and his handle gets him great looks. Shooting should encompass every aspect though. I have Bird as number 1 best shooter of all time. KD and Steph are up there also for all time shooting.
@Demon King I mean... 95% of the time when people refer to shooting they mean 3P shooting lol
One of the MOST REMARKABLE things about that shot.... The camera follows the ball and pans toward the basket The thunder bench comes into view Check out player #11... the ball is still in the air when #11 throws up his hands in resignation that this absurd shit is going in
Make a case for the greatest scorer of all time. Few candidates in mind...
The looks on their faces 🤣🤣🤣
4:31 jamal crawford even makes turning around look cool
I can’t understand how anybody can hate Curry man, it just doesn’t make sense
"making the case"... duh... 😁 There are not many things LESS disputable than this "case". And while I'm typing this, you're driving home the same point, in the clip... 😂 ...to me, he will be viewed as a greater player than Lebron, when his career is over. (if he stays mostly healthy, for the next five years)
Anyone who argues that Steph isnt the greatest shooter, looking at you Ray Allen, is clearly delusional.
Man I'm getting goosebumps everytime I watch Stephen Curry's story videos.
This video was on some steph curry level bro. ESPN or sports center should be knocking on your door man to do videos real talk. steph was the best thing to happen to the Bay Area in a long time and this video brings back hella memories. This should be a video they play at the end of his career. Thank you for creating something so amazing!
I feel Curry is the best player of this generation. Only reason they say lebron is better because his size makes him dominant. Steph has everything except dunks. Steph would’ve been passed Allen and been up there in all time scoring if it wasn’t for his ankles, kd and being sat multiple 4th quarters for being up on teams by so much. I’ts gonna be a sad day when curry stops playing
He is not the greatest shooter ever it's just that a lot of players being shoot 20 times for game they didn't shoot 20 3 pointers
?
*Best regular season record ever. Blows 3-1 lead like a boss.
Steph Curry is the most entertaining basketball player to watch since MJ! There are players who you watch and just marvel at their play....it fills your heart with joy and Steph is the only basketball player who does that for me currently ❤️
Late to the train, don’t feel too bad. I fell in love with the Dubs back in the early 90’s, and spent my youth watching them struggle to win 30 games a season after the Webber trade, Sprewell debacle, and all the missed drafts, until finally getting some hope with the Baron Davis trade. They got about a year and a half of a team that could make some noise, took out the number 1 seed Mavs, then blew the next series against the Jazz and failed to make the playoffs the year after with a 48 win season (best record for a team that didn’t get a playoff spot at that time). Two years later, Curry falls to 7th pick, the Warriors draft room cheers when they make the pick, and in my head, “We just got Steph Curry?!? Nice...how are we going to fit him in with Monta Ellis?”
Lol I was gonna say how is this even a topic? But then you hit me with the swerve
What a video. Thank you for this!
You're a bloody legend mate. Video is awesome 👌
second* in 3-pointers made
Super high quality videos dude keep it up
I followed the Warriors when they first came to the SF bay area in 1962 and was a fan as they struggled in those early years to have winning seasons. But they were fun to watch. Then they won the NBA championship in 1975 sweeping the finals as underdogs against Elvin Hays and the Washington Bullets with Rick Barry leading the way. It was a struggle for 4 decades to get back to a championship until Steph magically got drafted and the rest is history. Thank you for your wonderful story of how you became a DUB fan. By the way, I don't consider anyone a true GSW fan unless they know what DUB stands for.
Larry Bird is the best shooter of all time. Steph Curry is the best long-range shooter of all time. As you were.
lmao
You need to update this. He's now 2nd All-time NBA 3-point leader.
Brilliant video. I'm ashamed to admit that I even teared up a little. It's been an absolute honour watching this man's career, and I feel like there's still so much to come.
i’m gonna cry the day he retires
top 10 if not top 5 player of all time.....
This video is what a modern love letter looks like.
I’m saying okay Klay Thompson is the most underrated shooter of this era. Damn I hope he returns to form next year.
i dig ur honesty man. steph curry d most influential indeed. coz he turned ur hate into admiration.
Steph is just so fun to watch, if Michael Jordan is the greatest player of all time, Steph is no doubt yje greatest shooter of all time.
No shit sherlock lol
Ngl u don’t need to make a case for this.
"BIRD"....
Steff curry is super point gard. . .
am I supposed to cry.. cuz that music behind is so emotional bruh...
Correct
Steph Curry is the Babe Ruth of Basketball. Steph did for the 3-pointer what Ruth did for the home run.
I think greatness makes people hate you.
Good narrative and great reports
more influential than bron?.....
@Roni Smith no way...LeBron is the NBA. He's also politically way more powerful.
yep
2 Curry Brothers on the record for Highest percentage 3pt shooting of all time. Yeah it runs in the blood all right.
Steph Curry is the best player of his generation what.
he said Steph isn't the best player of his generation
Great video bruh
21:42. Actually hes the most influential in history, 2nd obviously to Jordan.
thanks for this videos brother. I loved it!!!!
Amazing Amazing Video.. Flow and Narration superb🔥🔥🔥
CASE CLOSED!!! BEFITTING 😎 Grandmas for Steph
I love the way these man narrates the achievement of steph....he's very articulate describes how steph handles the ball, his passing behind the back his 3point shooting steals defense manipulating his opponent thru his dancing...thank you man for highlighting stephs career...😍
The guys ahead of of him on 3pt% are set shooters. Curry shoots off the dribble most of the time with guys in his grill!!! I'm willing to wager that Curry shoots 50% from 3 on set/spot up shots. He truly is incomparable!
news flash LeBron is not the best player in the league!
he said Steph isn't the best player of his generation
Fun Fact: The first ever nba player to shoot a 3pt shot is a Celtics player named Brandon Ford, and now the currently 3pt leader is Ray Allen a Celtics player (2007-2012)
but how many attempts? what's the percentage? hmmm
@salamipitza lmao this agent orange dude is a casual, shooting more 3s makes it harder to have a great percentage. Also Seth Curry and Steve Kerr are catch and shoot only, Curry has to create his own shot.
and with that high volume does he make his teammates better?
@Agent Orange steph: 43.4% 3P% by 8.4 3PA seth: 44.4% 3P% by 4.0 3PA kerr: 45.4% 3P% by 1.8 3PA his high volume shooting makes the average even more outstanding everyone can shoot 40+ % from 3 with a low sample size
steve kerr is still number 1 considering the limited attempts he takes. even seth curry has a higher percentage than steph. it just goes to show that curry has a lot of 3PM because he is entitled to take a lot of shots. so no, he aint the greatest shooter of all time. sorry not sorry 🙄
Totally agreed, but I'm wondering why wasn't he (or Kobe) included in your Making the Case for GOAT? I thought your videos were really thorough and conscious of all the variables, but I was just confused why you didnt even mention one of these players as a GOAT candidate? Could you explain?
@Rudi Gohl I said because Kobe ranks among the goats, but he isn't a goat candidate which I agree with because Kobe based his game of Jordan so if you want to make a case for Kobe you have to make Jordan look worse
I mean who worked harder than Kobe?
When Steph " do the shimmy dance, that enemy team is in big trouble".
The difficult witness clasically arrange because neon uniquely note into a unadvised biology. late, astonishing worm
I got a little emotional watching this
20:34 when number 11 just throws his hands up and gives up from the bench before it even goes in
GO GSW
He just passed Reggie already 😂😂😂
Idol steph🔥❤💪
Who's here after he passed Reggie Miller?
Guy can literally shoot from anywhere on the court
Great shooter Absolutely but the man is a flat out scorer . B-ball fan since the 60’s and it kinda bothers me all I hear is How great of a shooter he is . But he doesn’t get Recognized for all the other stuff he does on the court. It’ is amazing truly. . Rebounds ,passes , steals , all highlights
My idol.stephen curry👍👍👍❤❤❤
Insane shot... How could you guard this guy? Better ask Steph.. Hahaha...
20:16 what an amazing shot. Its just incredible.
The magenta wrench pragmatically enjoy because sociology dolly label behind a animated hyena. alike, wrathful phone
Easy case to make
I was working in Qatar during the 14'15 season. There was no basketball on tv there coz it's a soccer loving country. I have watched Curry/ Warriors battled Clippers during the previous season. I wanted to watch him badly that I was encouraged to subscribe to League Pass, and have watched all their games, live! Even at 3AM. Have watched Klay poured in 37 in a quarter. Long live the Warriors!
Steph Curry will go down in history as a transcendental player, not of his generation, but of all time. He will be the template of all players coming to basketball. Look at the games now. The bigs should be able to shoot the ball outside or he will be relegated to bench roles.
i agree... you gotta love curry... even if you are not a fan of basketball. once you watch him play you get hooked.
Nobody is even close
This was amazing watching!
He GOT SILLZzz
Stephen Curry is the greatest of all time
curry is the best player, not only best shooter
NBAdraft.net and BleacherReport are bunch of idiots.. their scouts are bafoons
The most satisfying Steph-Warrior Video ever!!! Finally, I can sleep now. 😴
You dont have to make a case, everybody knows it already!!
The 3 point line was introduced in 1979. Also Jerry West and Pete Maravich were averaging 30+ points as ranged shooters prior to this time. And I absolutely love Steph Curry, and he and Lillard are players so good at deep shots that a 4-point shot should be considered.
I became a Warriors fan when they played the Rockets toin the playoffs, curry suffered a concussion when he landed on his head and had to go to the locker room. I loved how the team rallied and fought while he was getting evaluated and after that series they were my team. I also loved the unselfish way they played the game.
I feel every word you said.
Best video ive ever seen. I mean it
One of the most honest acetation that lve ever heard. As you know it's the truth, he has changed the GAME. Thank you for honesty. Refreshing !!!
You made cry 😢 now bro. Thank you 🙏 for this wonderful video
With all that said!!!! I'm like gosh dang!!!!! This boy is bad, and I mean that in a good way! Boy done came from the bottom now he's on his way up. I mean he not on his way he there!!!😏. Since Davidson I've messed with Steph. Yes he is that good. He's blessed God has given him a gift that is unfathomable!!! unmatchable and wonderful"I couldn't come up with no more D riding words so I just say it how I see it!!!
only in the softest era in the NBA where there is no handchecking, physicallity and hard fouls. it will be a different story for curry if he was playing in the physically defensive oriented 80s and 90s...
@Doctor D So you don't watch the NBA if you did you would know that Stephen Curry had all time great handles and he can still do that in the 90s because his handles are able to break people because Curry is that good of a shooter and players like Curry found successes Reggie Miller add crazy handles, a finishing at the basket ability, and add that he can shoot his 3s off the, look him and Reggie are twining right know. Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf he was great and he wasn't as good of an ball handler or a shooter as Steph and times Mahmoud by a billion you got Stephen Curry also do you think the 2009-2014 is soft because isn't phyiscal and why do you even watch the NBA if you think it's soft
@Roni Smith the greatness of an offensive player can only be measured by how hard he has to work for an open shot, much punishment he has to take every night and how hard he is being defended... in this era, steph can get himself open anytime and anywhere just like in a 3point contest. hahaha in fairness, Steph is the best shooter in the softest era of the NBA and probably in the WNBA only!!! but NEVER in the hard nosed defensive eras...
You see your logic has problems why if Steph was born in 1970. Let's say he get's to the nba around let's say 1989-1990 he would play like how Jordan played like because it really matters about the era, and I feel like your logic is flawed. Every era has it's own style to it I should hate on the 90s era for taking the worst shot in basketball, but I don't because every era has it's own style, and if you don't know theirs this player Mahmoud Abdul Rahman he was good. And even Jordan said When he's hot no one can stop him.Take Mahmoud times it by a billion and you got Steph Curry. Because Steph is a way better shooter than Mahmoud, and his a way better ball handler and Steph has been good for years now. I won't even mention his steals while talking about his greatness or his % just Rookie year: 17.5 ppg, 5.9 assist 1979-2020 only like 60 rookies have averaged more than 17.5 points, till 2000s only like 17 rookies, also in nba history only like 50 rookies averaged more than 5.9 assist, only like 17 players averaged 5.9 assist since 2000 2nd year he didn't get much better but he was still good 3rd year he had injuries 4th year 23 points , 6.9 assist, in the playoffs upset a 57 win team took the spurs who took the heat to 7, to 6 games, Stephen recorded over 1.750, also 500 assist, only 40 players did that, and only 5 players have done it more than 5 times, Westbrook, Curry, Lebron, Bird, and Oscar Robertson 5th year 24 points, 8.5 assist, 42 percent from 3 on 7 attempts a game also took the clippers to 6 games 6th year MVP 7th year was 2016 and we know the rest Also if you still don't think so their only like 43 players who had more than 13,000 in their first 8 years in nba history, only 6 in the 2000, in his 1st 8 years 3,900 assist have came from Curry and only like 44 players in nba history done that in their 1st 8 years, and only 10 since 2000s, if you think Stephen Curry can't do the same in the 90s you have been watching the nba in 2015 or you don't watch ball much and you just been catching on to Curry because the media pays more attention to him
Cap
The 3 pt. shot is a lay- up to him. How dyou like that?
preach
we loved stephen Curry😘😘😘
Actually, his coach, Steve Kerr, and his brother Seth Curry have the #1 and #2 career 3 pt. percentages so they are better shooters than Steph. And his dad, Del Curry is also one of the all-time best ahead of Steph. But Steph creates his own 3 pt. shot like nobody else ever has and he shoots more so it's harder to have as high a percentage. I think his Dad did a good job teaching his sons how to shoot.
A case doesn't have to be made if you have eyes.
#GSATCURRY
Not so easy
Perfectly said sir. Thank you.
After I heard Durant had issues with Kerr, Durant loss a ton of respect. Tells me the Durants issue with Draymond was Durants problem. Now he has Hardin Durant will never get another ring As much as I hate LeBron James, I'd rather a ring go to him than Durant ever
I'll take Ray Allen any day.

Shooting mechanics are MUCH better today than in 1979
Yes that's Curry Period!! best all day long. #Letsgo
