Another thing to consider, the "perfect" virus isn't one that is deadly or heavily transmissible, it's the one that is BOTH and allows infection with delayed symptoms. which is incredibly rare. Also, a lot of the strategies that Thailand is using it's based on the USAs CDC guidelines. The USA is (used to be before Trump) a leader in controlling these viruses globally.

BatRaTG13 only shares 89% the same RNA sequences as 2019-nCoV, while humans are 98.5% the same as chimps, so it is hardly a close match. There is no furin cleavage sequence in the bat virus BatRaTG13 or Pangolin-CoV, thus requiring a third virus from another distant place. On either side of the new furin site, the amino acid sequence is identical in both 2019-nCoV and BatRaTG13 from aa614 to aa1133 - an apparent insert of PRRA is the only difference in an otherwise 100% conserved 519 amino acid region. This is a highly mutable section that would put it's age at September 2019 at the earliest. However the Wuhan BatRaTG13 sample is from 2013, so how is that possible outside of a lab? This is statistically significant evidence for a lab insert of a furin cleavage sequence on a backbone of BatRaTG13 from aa614 to aa1133. A lab origin is based on the totality of the inserts and the extremely remote chance they could have all happened naturally. So many different viruses came together from around the world, only sharing the best parts, naturally after many broke out of labs? That is a supernatural story, before we even get to the spike protein being evolved to infect humans, not animals. This echoed by Birger Sørensen, who says it is at least 90% probable that it came from a lab. Next we have the 614G mutation happening at the likely insertion point and we find that the Italian mutation was found in blood samples in Italy from September before the cases in Wuhan. So did the natural virus build a teleportation device to get the lab samples and then a time machine to travel back in time? That certainly isn't the best explanation by any stretch of the imagination.
